Where's my Lakitu?

When somebody mentions kart racers we all instinctively go to the Mario Kart series, it's simply the staple of the genre. Recently Gameloft dropped Disney Speedstorm a Disney-themed kart racer and I have been enjoying it a good deal, especially as the game was released out of early access into free-to-play at the back end of September. The problem is there are still some teething issues or bumps in the road if you will, that need smoothing out to make the game a better experience.
Fast Resets Are A Must
Speedstorm features fast and frantic races, so getting knocked off course is parred the course, but you need to be able to get back in the action just as quickly. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to do just that. Often you'll be hit and spin out facing directly into the wall, sure you can reverse and try to manoeuvre out, but it takes too long for the pace Speedstorm wants to to be at. At the moment the best course of action is the rev into the wall until a reset automatically takes place. The game needs a quicker track reset or even a way to hit a button and have a Lakitu equivalent plonk you back at the centre of the track. It's just at the moment spinning out wall adjacent is happening far too much, and it's something a quick reset could really help combat.
Stable Online Racing
Online racing is the meat of the game and that's where you'll want to spend time to earn the most resources in the game. The problem is that the online service at this time isn't as reliable as it should be. Sure, we all expect the games where other karts jolt around lagging across the track because of connection, but when you're in a starting lineup, that's introducing racers when all of a sudden the rest of the pack begins to pull off, leaving you stranded watching them accelerate off before your even allowed to drive just ruins the race. Unfortunately, It's not just a one-time thing, it's happened a fair few times and it puts you in last place on a mad dash to catch up for no reason.
Integrate Racer Information
You've more than likely (not) seen my previous post doing a rundown of all 4 racer classes featured in Disney Speedstorm, but if you're planning on playing the game you really should brush up on the classes as utilizing them correctly can be the difference in making the podium. Unfortunately, the game doesn't do much to explain the differences between each class or go into details outside of the initial 3 characters' unique skills. Sure you can boot up YouTube, find the rundown videos on each class and learn it that way, but who's going to do that? It needs to be easily accessible, or even like small feature videos to show their strengths. It's like when Star Wars Rise of the Skywalker teased Emperor Palpatine's return in Fortnite, and the film just assumed you saw it. Like, come on... Supply us with what we need in the package, don't make us go on a hunt to fully understand.
There are probably a few other smaller quirks that could use some tweaking to better the game's experience, but I feel these are the three big ones that could really help push the game forward. Have you tried Disney Speedstorm? Excited for the Frozen-themed season later this month? Let us know below.
As always, Thanks for reading :)
