A quick rundown of what Path to Platinum is.

For those of you out there who don't know what a Platinum trophy is, it's essentially the final PlayStation trophy you get once you have attained all other Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies on a video game's trophy list. It's the crowning achievement that tops off beating a game and 100%ing its trophy list that drops a very rewarding serotonin ding.

Up until 2008 games on PlayStation didn't have trophies or achievements, but when the summer of 2008 rolled around an update for the PlayStation introduced the digital accolades. The first game to receive the coveted platinum was Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, which came through an update to the 2007 game. Since then I've continued to enjoy playing games, but now I get the added bonus of pillaging a game's trophy list for even more digital silverware.

For those interested, my first ever platinum came in 2009 when I finally managed to conquer Ratchet & Clank: A Crank in Time. Since then I've earned a hefty amount of trophies and continue to enjoy the hunt, so I thought I'd start documenting my trials and conquests for other trophy hunters to share in their (mis)fortunes and get an idea of what to expect before attempting that game's trophy list themselves.

So Path to Platinum is in essence just my retelling of how I found tackling a game's trophy list. It's not an in-depth guide, but it will be an outline of how I found the trophy list, what order I conquered stuff and any tips, tricks and noteworthy trophies I found along the way. I'll always aim to write them as close to achieving the platinum as possible to have fresh feelings on the journey, but without much else to say, let's get into it.
