Youtooz Dropped a PlayStation Line, And I Just Might Be Tempted

Celebrating PlayStation History, one vinyl figure at a time.

I'm an absolute sucker for merchandise. I can't deny it (well, I could, but you and I'd both know that's a massive lie). I enjoy getting the Collector's editions of games, though their frequency doesn't seem to be as common these days. I went through a big Funko POP! phase, but that's fizzled out over the years. I still have a nice collection of them, and on occasion, I may buy a new one if a new Lord of the Rings one drops, but it's rare.

I'd class myself as a pretty big PlayStation fan. A lot of my favourite games have been PlayStation exclusives, and the merchandise for these can be very sporadic with titles like God of War and LittleBigPlanet having some variety, but other titles like Ratchet & Clank, Ghost of Tsushima and Astro Bot have a fairly limited amount (although to be fair Astro is seeing a nice rise in options).

I was looking into getting more PlayStation collectables, but nothing has stood out to me; either it was way too pricey, or it was something too small. Then I stumbled across YouTooz, and their continually growing PlayStation collection.

The company initially started as a company that produced vinyl figures for memes and Internet stars. Since then, they've grown a fair bit, and now offer a range of figures based on celebrated franchises like Ben 10, Breaking Bad, SpongeBob SquarePants and of course, PlayStation.

The figures themselves have a higher price point than the base Funko POP! figures, sitting around £30 per figure, but from what I've seen and heard, the quality of the figures seems to be better, and the designs feel more unique to each character than the more generic poses Funko tend to favour.

After checking out some of the Spider-Man figures at my local store, I decided to take the plunge, purchasing my first figure, Joel, from The Last of Us. Joel was a difficult figure to acquire, and I ended up having to order directly from the YouTooz site as I couldn't find him stocked anywhere in the UK, but I hope he can be the start of a nice little PlayStation collection. Hopefully, YouTooz will add even more PlayStation heroes in the future, like Cole McGrath, Aloy and Jin Sakai, but for now, I look forward to getting my hands on Joel and ordering Ratchet & Clank so I can have the pair hanging out by my console, cheering me on for 'one more level.'
